Haha that reminds me of when we were pot heads in university that. Me and my mate were sat in blitzed watching comic relief. My other, rather weirder mate brought a bird back to the house on their first date and sat with us watching it in one of the most awkward 20-30 minutes of my life in which I proceeded to fall to bits laughing every time the ‘serious stuff’ came on. He never saw her again.

In the story on the BBC it seems a special hydraulic lift was needed to get him off the plane but the staff operating it managed to lock themselves inside the lift and had to dismantle his wheelchair and pass it through to the plane piece by piece. To be fair to Frank he said how enthusiastic and helpful everybody was trying to be , and only mentioned it to raise awareness of ongoing disability issues.

Went to see my mate last night in hospital who has had a stroke. He can talk but he talks really fast and doesn't make much sense. I said he sounds like Brad Pitt in Snatch but he actually found it hilarious and laughed.

Really heartbreaking story. One of my closest friends lost her brother last week and is obviously absolutely devastated. He has 2 young kids (age 4 and 7). I was talking to her yesterday and she was in tears telling me how they'd broken the terrible news to the children, specifically the 7 year old. I asked how he'd taken it and what he'd said and, still in tears, she told me the kid had replied "Can I have his phone?"

 

I don't think I've ever struggled so hard to keep a straight face.

 

Still one of the funniest posts I've ever read on TLW. If I could rep it again I would.
