well i have finished uni with an economics degree which was supposed to set me on the wonderful path of banking. However the credit crunch saw to that idea.

 

I just need a job to pay the bills now

Just looked on our company website for Liverpool are but for first time since I can remember no jobs going .Not much of a job but might have been enough to pay some bills.

The thing that pisses me off most are all the useless cunts who still have jobs. With 2 million unemployed, ain't no excuse any more for shoddy customer service, but it seems standards have gone the other way. I know talented people (not me) who are out of work, yet there seems to be a good few million subnormal cretins currently in employment. Can't we swap those out and get the decent ones in?

I pretty much spend my day reading now. So good/boring.

I'm in exactly the same boat. One more week and my contract ends. Sent out ten applications in the last fortnight... not heard back from one yet. I'm degree educated, 4 years experience yet not even being shortlisted for fairly average roles.

 

The jobs which I should be looking at career-wise have all dried up or are 'internal only' posts, so that basically leaves me with the option of looking at admin roles which I think i'm being considered as over qualified for.

Yes, being over qualified sucks balls. I think I've been knocked back from one because I had been in Uni for two years.

There does seem to be some roles which I'm fairly suited for which I think i'd have a great chance of getting (my work so far has been based in student funding). So the best chance I have of finding work right now would be in the uni's,but there's nothing decent in any of the Liverpool ones, but there's a few dotted around the country.

 

I don't really fancy all the arsing around of having to move, but if needs must.

I got knocked back from a job this morning because they thought I was "too interesting". Nice of them to flatter me, I'd rather be boring and get paid though.
