Favourite Player of the post-Barnes era

I regard Barnes as the last player to leave the club who played in a truly great Liverpool team, so since the end of that era, who has been your favourite player?

Hyypia for me.

It used to be Fowler but he's slipped into second place behind the big Fin, but Sami has been a true legend both on and off the pitch and a real steadying hand.

He also oozes class whenever you hear him speak, you never hear any shit about him off the pitch, and I don't think I've ever seen him put in a dirty challenge. He's the ultimate pro and Shankly would have loved him from what I've read and heard.

He was also made to look even better by the fact that what came before him was so thoroughly unacceptable. He was the Obama to Phil Babb's George W Bush.

hmm...I'll have to think about this one. But I'll be choosing from Owen, Fowler, Berger, McManaman, Hamann, Alonso and Gerrard.

And to be fair Mr.Schmeeksie, that isn't a bad list.

I'd say thinking about it now Fowler. If it was on the fondness at the time Berger comes very close to Fowler, but I still love Fowler, even though he's not here. Whereas i only think about berger when he is mentioned.
