I needed something historic to mark my 2,000th post, so I thought "Let's bring some Love for Gordon Hodgson".

 

 

It's weird, but he doesn't seem to be held in the esteem his record - 378 games, 240 goals - clearly merits. In an era when Liverpool weren't all that great, he scored 17 hat-tricks. This legend truly deserves to be remembered with the same reverence as the likes of Billy Liddell, Elisha Scott, Alex Raisbeck.
