We have lots of players now who are comfortable receiving the ball in a crowd and who have the close control to get out of that traffic.

 

He also seems to have 'a move' leaving his leg out with the ball to commit the defender and then dragging it back. Not as pretty as Thiago's shoulder drop but effective.

Looked very happy when interviewed at the end of the game, seems like the squad are very friendly and have made him feel at home. Another player who is a threat shooting from outside the box too. 

 

The Europa games will be good for him finding his feet here and getting used to everything.

He looked very good against us. 

 

We could do with another tall bastard in the team as well. Himself and Fabinho rolling around the midfield like two NBA players would be a fun watch

 

I guess Szoboszlai will have to do instead of Fabinho. This lad is looking pretty special. Love the way he's able to get the ball on the half turn and glide away, seemingly all in just one motion.

he was very good tonight.  I noticed on a number of occasions how Jota came deeper to cover off the sort of position that Gravenbach would be expected to cover- perhaps he's not fully fit yet, but he's improving game on game.

Looks very promising. Going forwards he’s excellent, love the way he just glides past players. Also looks pretty decent in the pressing and general defensive play. Early days but looks a player.

He's very strong even though he doesn't look it. He was able to hold off players with ease. Head up style too which bodes well. Might just be a bit of a bargain.

These Europa League games are good for the new signings to get more confidence and get used to the way we play. 

 

We got 3 midfielders in the summer for bargain prices. I think if we get Andre from Fluminense in January that's the midfield boxed off for a very long time.

He looks very good in flashes and can carry the ball well. The only concern is if he has the workrate to be part of a well drilled, functional midfield. If he does, he'll be some player.
