Yep so many rights ordinary civilians the French had to resort to setting fire to large parts of Paris earlier this year to have their voices heard.

Meanwhile the rest of Europes poor have turned to the far right to protect them from the wonderful world of neoliberalism. Someone should tell them how lucky they are.

Jesus. How many times?

Member States of the EU are free to determine all their own laws and policies, apart from in those limited areas where they have agreed to cooperate and to maintain minimum standards.  This means that countries (like France) can have the kind of shitty racist policing that provokes riots and it's got fuck all to do with the EU.

How do you imagine the Far Right - who all agree on lower workers' rights and more extreme forms of capitalism - are seen by anyone as protection from neoliberalism? And why do you think that it's poor people who are supporting the Far Right?

Fucking hell poor people are looking to the far right because the political system has failed them and failed them bad. The EU is part of that system.

The rest of your post is false as member countries can only steer their own boat within the fiscal constraints laid out by the EU. But you knew that.

Correct me if I'm wrong, but I don't think the EU awards any of those grants directly.  If it's ERDF money (for example) the EU gives the money to the national government; the national government either awards the contract or they grant the money to a local authority, who award the contracts.

Basically, the EU sets standards for workers'rights, private companies (some of whom are contracted by national or local government bodies) don't always stick to those standards, and the EU has a court system so workers'rights can be enforced and the cunts don't get away with it.

So Hunt is concerned we're in a 'low growth trap'. Yeah, that's what happens when people's wages don't keep up with the cost of living and what money they do have is continually siphoned off to the rentier parasite, non-productive class.

The Tories approach to achieving growth and a successful economy is akin to Wile Coyote and his efforts to catch the roadrunner.

Should be in the serious things you shouldn't laugh at thread. " I was winning until I got the shits one mile into the marathon "

You'd think it'd propel you faster, like the Caterpillar drive from Hunt for Red October.
