Anyone else watch the first episode?

 

Very interesting, just on my doorstep and it even filmed our work people carrier at one point.

 

How the fuck we’ve not legalised everything, taxed it and invested in substance misuse and mental health support is a disgrace.

I agree but how do you legalise hard drugs like Heroin?

I agree but how do you legalise hard drugs like Heroin?

You start by decriminalising it, you stop gangsters making massive profits by causing misery to thousands. You have clean heroin that isn’t laced with god knows fucking what, given out by prescription in safe use facilities.

 

In the same facilities you have mental health services, substance misuse counselling services, housing and benefit support.

 

You treat people as humans not criminals.

I am with you mate. I just can't see it working with funding issues and etc. Is there any countries with a working model?

Doesn’t Portugal have something similar?

 

I think Portugal made carrying all personal amounts of any drug legal, of course that still leaves the sticky mess of the dealers - that is not legal. Be interesting to hear Cloggy's take on it - Netherlands have been giving out government controlled heroin for years.
