The day after, and still loving it!

Gomez - yes, he was very good. Looked very good pre injury and I thought we had a real player on our hands. Very unlucky with such a bad injury, out for ages. Came back, looked rusty, carrying too much muscle. Slimmed down a bit, though obviously still a strong lad, and now looks to be shedding the rust.

Now I honestly can't decide who is 1,2,3 at right back, and Gomez still might end up in the middle, though mistakes there are usually costly.

Watching the game again. Gomez was fucking brilliant yesterday.

I thought that too, he played some excellent passes. I liked Klopps 'welcome to adult football' comment.

Both full backs were really good i thought.

It looked like someone had got through to Moreno about balancing risks.

Tougher tests to come, but its nice to have no real issues with anyone. I even thought that Henderson did really well!

Has any team ever played into our hands so much?

Midfield 3 were superb. Wingers great too. Moreno's best game for 2 years but still an accident waiting to happen.

If Salah had a right foot he'd be world class

He used to play on the left didn't he?  Maybe this stint on the right will help him adapt/improve it?

He looked more comfortable when he went left after mane went off (I could have been imagining that).

The negativity on this site is infectious and refreshing compared to the totalitarianism Chemical Ali vibe on RAWK. I'm as guilty as anyone in participating in it. But I'm watching the match again now and I have to say some of our attacking football is fucking scintillating. I'm genuinely excited. I can barely keep a thought in my head

Tbh - Moreno got on the wrong side of one of their attackers early on - he threw a wild, flying two footed tackle inside our area.

That said any two of TAA, Clyne and Gomez already looks to be better than what we had last season. (And I thought Milner did a credible job).
