A rudderless ship. We're shaky as fuck at the back, we have a keeper that constantly flaps at stuff, no presence in midfield, two players out of position either side of our back three and an attacking trio that are 16ft between them and are getting knocked off the ball by a strong wind, and it cost a fortune.

Well, we can still win since Burnley are pretty abject. Bigger question is how we can expect to beat any halfway decent team with these players and this formation.

The formation is actually a lot better against a halfway decent team.  When we're up against a defense that's come to play disciplined and keep tight, the 3-4-2-1 is a problem because it makes it difficult to get an overload in our favour in the attacking half.  Against a team like Arsenal or United, it's much better because we can use it to break against them.

Where to start with that?

Sakho turned up,  Burnley are utter shite; any side worthy of the name would have fucking buried us in that half . In a season full of disappointment and mediocrity we seem to be on a race to the bottom and have plumbed new depths of shiteness.. Rodgers looks completely lost and out of ideas and like a man about to get the sack; which maybe about to happen if the second half isnt a massive improvement. I'm genuinly in shock watching that .

This, with bells on. Fucking hell we're pathetic.

Apparently doesn't play the way the manager wants him to, according to some journalist, I can't remember who. One of the ones who wrote an insider puff piece on Rodgers.

Hilarious.  Balotelli - doesn't play the way the manager wants.  Can - doesn't play the way the manager wants.  Perhaps someone should explain that the idea isn't to sign players for £10m+ fees so that we can have a look at them.

Edit and now Can is on but for Toure?

Any decent team will attack us also which means them 'wb's would get rinsed.

We lost 3 0 to mancs and anyway if u think this team/formation would be decent anywhere rather than one rodgers stumbled upon in his wet dreamz then you and i know thata lie. Even if your right rodders has put it out against the worst team in the division at home to play counter attack.

Couple of weeks ago we were playing without a single recognised striker in the team.  Now we're going with only two recognised defenders.

It's fucking amateur hour.  That applies even if we win this, it's just rolling the dice and praying for a seven.

I hope to God we win, even if it means Rodgers gets to feel satisfied about how everything is going.

I've got to a stage where I couldn't care less anymore. I don't hold much hope for this season the way things are going. In fact, I'm probably more in the "the sooner Rodgers is out the door, the better it would be for our long-term future" camp nowadays. Of course, that depends on who we get next but still, Rodgers clearly isn't the long term answer for us. We will probably always be financially out-powered by the likes of Chelsea and City, so we do need a manager capable of outwitting his counterparts from time to time like Rafa did for us. Unfortunately, we know for a matter of fact that Rodgers is tactically much weaker than Mourinho and Pellegrini or whoever City is likely to get after him (Simeone, Klopp etc...). I fear that freak season with Suarez is as much as we are ever gonna get under Brendan.
