  1. Only decent thing in the whole game was the Quansah tackle, should have started.
  2. Jota is the best finisher at the club but misses too many games. If he was available on Sunday we win that by 2 or 3 goals.
  3. We played like a Sunday morning team that had all been out on the piss the night before and hadn't gotten home till about 5.00 am.
  4. I was shocked that Howe played Gordon on the right, he had Trent on toast at St James Park, really poor management, thankfully.
  5. You actually did speak with that logic when you said this is their land. Of course Muslims in the UK are not trying to ethnically cleanse the native population, yet, will that be the same when their population is not the 13% or so it is now but is 30 to 40% which demographically is inevitable. The conflict is absolutely religious, this is from a hadith “The Hour will not begin until you fight the Jews, until a Jew will hide behind a rock or a tree, and the rock or tree will say: ‘O Muslim, O slave of Allah, here is a Jew behind me; come and kill him" and this is part of the Hamas charter. The 2002 Arab Peace proposal could have been a good starting place for negotiations however the Passover massacre which took place the day before the initiative was published probably didn't help things. It was met with some opposition from some Arab states and the majority of the Hamas leadership rejected it so I can't see how that would have made much of a difference. It is clear who wants peace and that's Israel. This 2014 interview with the son of a Hamas leader show's they certainly don't https://x.com/CatchUpFeed/status/1711808433794810070?s=20 It's a mess and without removing the extremists from both sides I cannot see how to solve it.
  6. So by your own logic the whole Muslim community in the UK need to leave and head back to their ancestral lands. The Irish and Italian Americans etc need to leave the US and the land given back to the Native Americans. Not going to happen of course. Before it was Palestine it was the Kingdom of Israel and the Kingdom of Judea It was the Romans who christened the area Philistea after the Philistines the enemy of the Jews, they did this to piss of the Jews who they couldn't suppress. Both sides have historical and legitimate claims to the land. I want to see peace there as much as anybody but how can it happen when you have extremists on both sides who will not stop until the other is eradicated.
  7. Very nuanced and intellectual conversation.
  8. Seems most likely from the evidence I've seen that it was a Hamas rocket that was either intercepted or broke up in mid air with the debris falling on the hospital carpark. The story of 500 deaths (reported in just an hour) is just that, a story, in war the truth is the first casualty. What has gone unmentioned is the rockets launched by Hamas could just of easily hit an Israeli hospital.
  9. After 5 minutes of scouting on YouTube Ugarte at Sporting looks ideal for us.
  10. When was the last time he made a slide tackle? Doesn't seem like he wants to go to ground to either tackle an attacker or block a cross or shot.
  11. I'd leave Trent out for a while and play Robbo right back with the Greek lad at left back. Another option when we have all the CBs back would be to play five at the back, but I don't believe Klopp likes that system.
  12. I'd rather City because that is largely irrelevant, plus one of my best mates is an Arsenal fan and he's been giving me so much grief lately.
  13. Having heart problems. Lot of that about lately. https://www.liverpoolecho.co.uk/sport/football/football-news/lucas-liverpool-training-heart-issue-25745614
  14. Unlikely, but if they don't start to perform then we won't be top 10.
  15. The form we are in no, there's more chance of finishing outside the top half. If we can remember how to defend and get some decent midfield reinforcements in January then maybe.
  16. I'd be tempted to play a 4231 with Salah up top Eliot, Carvalho and Diaz behind him, Hendo and Fab as the two.
  17. We have to try something different so I'd be tempted to play 3 at the back in Phillips, Kabak and Davies, it would hopefully allow Trent and Robbo to play further forward and have Mane and Salah as a 2 up top and able to move around a bit more we are too easy to play against at the moment.
  18. We all have unconscious bias whether we like it or not. So it's not surprising after the justified criticism of the ref's after the derby that some other ref's would be more likely to rule against us to stick it to the people criticising their buddy's. I doubt that their is outright corruption amongst ref's personally, but their incompetence is blatantly obvious. However they are not helped by the constant tinkering with and changes to the interpretation of the rules of the game.
