Shame we couldnt see it on LFC.tv, eh?

Yep. It's a pain that they've stopped showing the games for the time being.

I watched the highlights of the 21's game on Thursday. The lads at the back looked way off their game. Lloyd Jones had a game to forget, and Danny Ward, despite making some good saves in the game, will be very disappointed with Southampton's third.

Good to see Jerome Sinclair up with the 21's. Hopefully he can stay clear of injury and get a good run of games. He's been looking sharp so far this season for the 18's.

The UYL game against Real Madrid is being shown live by the offal tomorrow.

Coverage starts at 13:45, with kick off at 14:00.

Liverpool U19s take on Real Madrid in a mouthwatering UEFA Youth League contest on Wednesday afternoon and subscribers can watch the whole game live on LFCTV GO.

The tie takes place at Langtree Park in St Helens and kicks off at 2pm BST, so join Mark Benstead from 1.45pm alongside former Reds Gary Gillespie and Roy Evans for the best build-up to the important group fixture.

Following their 4-0 win over Ludogorets Razgrad in the first round of matches, Neil Critchley's side suffered an unfortunate 3-2 defeat by FC Basel in their most recent game, when the Swiss outfit scored two late goals.

Real Madrid, meanwhile, have won their opening two games in the competition and will naturally provide a stern test for the young Reds ahead of the senior fixture between the two teams at Anfield later in the day.

Half time, 2-0.

We started really well, pressed the ball and moved the ball with pace in the first 20 minutes. Got our rewards for the good start with the 2 goals.

Madrid have had the better of it since we went 2-0 up, and we've dropped a little deeper than we'd want to, which has invited the pressure onto us.

We almost paid when Madrid were awarded a penalty after Adam Phillips committed a foul in the box, he didn't notice a Madrid player closing him down as he went to hook the ball away, and caught the player fairly high rather than the ball.

Madrid's striker, Mayoral slipped just as he struck the penalty and the ball sailed high and handsome to keep our 2 goal lead intact.

2-2. Borja Sanchez grabs the equaliser. Good play from the Madrid number 8 on their left, and plays a nice 1-2 with Jack Harper before passing the ball past Fulton and into the far corner.

Fully deserved. Madrid on top and look the more likely side to win the game, at this moment.
