Parker and Drogba at top of Redknapp's summer shopping list - Transfers, Football - The Independent

On Scott Parker.

"If they don't stay up they've got a problem keeping the Footballer of the Year," he said. "He's a real proper pro, proper good bloke, family man, role model, not a minute's problem, gets on with it. We liked him but I don't think we ever got close really, £15m was a lot of money for his age. If they go down, is he going to play in the Championship next year? I wouldn't have thought so. I don't know but it isn't going to be £15m, is it? He wants to play for England. It is going to be hard for him."

If the Hammers are relegated they should put out a statement. 30m to Spurs or reasonable offers from everyone else, assuming he wants to leave.

There has been some friction between the two clubs over the issue of the Olympic stadium so this is hardly the way to patch things up, and at such a critical stage of the season too.

Redknapp got Gudjohnsen in on loan last year after he'd already agreed a deal with West ham too.

There going to court to appeal the decision over the stadium aswell, I fucking hate spurs now

'Arry's going down in the summer. Can't see HMRC pursuing him in a high profile case for 3 years unless they reckoned they had a real chance to get a conviction. Good chance that Levy will use it as an excuse to replace him as apparently their relationship isn't great these days (Moyes to Spurs anyone?)

I, for one, will have a quiet laugh if he gets done - cannot stand the man especially since his defence of the Cancers

He just used them as an excuse to question Rafas managerial credentials as im certain Arry couldnt stand Rafa and overseas managers in general. Hed also passed that dislike onto his knobhead son as he was always having a pop at Rafa on sky sports. Cant stand the 2 of them. Di anyone else get the feeling on that sky thing Jamie did at Melwood that Kenny was thinking what the fuck is this fella doin here. Ronnie Moran certainly did.

Is Redknapp actually incapable of speaking without sounding like a poorly-scripted Eastenders character?

"People say 'if we get in the Champions League we'll buy some great players' but if you don't buy some great players you won't get in the Champions League," said the Tottenham manager. "That's how it works. And people would come here anyway. If you pay them the wages they'll come. We all kid ourselves: 'I've wanted to play for Tottenham since I was two, I had pictures of Jimmy Greaves on my wall.' It's a load of bull. Here's £80,000 a week. Lovely jubbly!"

Fakkin 'ell. Diamond geezer. Etc.

Typical Redknapp signings,

both over 30,

would command decent fees and wages,no sell on value for the club or the next manager,

but hey,go and ask Bournemouth,Southampton and Pompey about 'Arry dealings

But dont ask the Tax man,Harry's told him there was no dealings:whistle:

Amazing to think of all that he has got up to and he is still in work. My biggest problem with him is the consensus amongst some that he is a good manager, he knows his limits and he has very little chance of ever progressing beyond that. His list of honours confirm this.

His guest appearances on Sky on transfer deadline day and his chats with Talksport confirm to me that is cunt more interested in massaging his own ego and earning a bit of money than being a manager.

I can't stand the saggy-faced crook and his equally obnoxious, braindead offspring.

I remember good ole 'Arry bemoaning the state of the squad his mate Roy inherited and how it was Benitez's fault. The decimation of the Liverpool squad couldn't be blamed on the owners, it was all Benitez's fault as St. Tom & St. George had backed the incompetent Spaniard with cold, hard cash and lots of it. He didn't know why we were protesting against these two wonderful men as it was all Rafa's fault...

In summary I think he's a xenophobic brown envelope collector with an overblown sense of his own self-importance. Every club he's been at has been f*cked financially after he left.

Just think the chances are Kenny is going to finish above them having been in charge for just half a season...

No wonder he wanted his mate Roy to remain in charge. He knows that with the combination of a decent manager and equally competent owners in charge then he isn't going to get a sniff of the Champions League.

The other thing that p*ssed me off was Sky interviewing him on the evening of transfer deadline day.

'Arry's good for a story.

They had him live at White Hart Lane talking his usual bollocks about loving transfer deadline day, the cheeky old scamp. Spurs hadn't been active, but 'Arry was there to talk about other clubs & their players,

"So 'Arry, what do you like about this day?"

"we can rely on 'Arry for some entertainment today."

He was working late as he had a few things to clear up but was absolutely adamant he wasn't going to try and sign anyone.

Then 5 minutes before the deadline he makes a bid to sign Charlie Adam.

It goes without saying that I really hope we smash his team AOTS on the penultimate day and pip them to 5th place mainly because I'm a Liverpool fan but also because this git has no right to pontificate about my club (and others too). The cancers backed the manager with cash, is not only laughable it is insulting.

How Spurs managed to get us to pay for tapping up Robbie Keane whilst they do it to virtually every other player they sign/attempt to sign is beyond me.

What I will say though is "thank you (P)Rick."

Biggest drawback with 'Arry is that he's bankrupted every club he's been too. His net spend at Spurs over the last two seasons has been huge and whilst he digs up the odd gem (VDV was outstanding) he has a habit of paying over the odds for players on the wrong side of 30.

No wonder his two targets this summer are Parker and Drogba. The one thing Spurs won't be doing with 'Arry is developing a long term youth policy.

Funny thing is, he's become a lot more prickly given that the wheels are slowly coming off Spurs. Levy has already started to kick off about the spending particulry given the potential for no Euro football let alone missing out on the CL.
