Definate shades of the Serie A Calciopoli scandal going on in the Premier League these days, the same few clubs getting helped every week, no chance it will be investigated though

Liverpool fans have now had several seasons where it’s a shock to them if they drop a point at the weekend (and there’s usually a media investigation and a referee to blame it on if they do). This isn’t normal football. Same with City. It’s not normal to be going to European away grounds and hitting teams for 4 or 5 season after season.

The top three in the PL are so far ahead of every team in Europe now except maybe Bayern it’s embarrassing. Liverpool would legitimately expect to batter Madrid Barcelona Juventus Atletico Milan probably even PSG at their own grounds with ease now, maybe not even needing to use their first team. City the same.

It’s an embarrassing state of affairs and it’s laughable people think it’s just normal or just some good training or ‘teams have always been dominant in the past’.

United under Ferguson with probably their greatest ever treble winning side needed a performance of a lifetime to get through their CL semi final against Juve, and even then got battered against Bayern in the final that they were lucky to win. They were praying they didn’t draw Real Madrid at any point also. Even when Fergie had his 07-10 team, Ronaldo Rooney Tevez Vidic Ferdinand in their prime. They got outclassed by Milan and Kaka in 07, they won by the slightest margin in 08 after basically defending for their lives against Barcelona, and then got dismantled by Barcelona and then Inter Milan for three years. This is probably the greatest football manager of all time with his greatest teams, featuring some of the best players in premier league history,

That’s what the CL should be like. Absolute elites of Europe being neck and neck. Not finding you’ve got Roma in the semi finals and going 5-0 up after the first half, or Porto in the quarters and winning 4-0 away in the first leg. The CL now is a complete and utter joke because the elites of English football are now doping beyond belief (both financial and chemical) and the rest of the continent is quite frankly a basket case. Every season now the CL is only between five or six teams.

City Liverpool Chelsea Bayern PSG Madrid

No one else has a realistic chance of winning it. Even Madrid and PSG are unlikely to stand a chance this season. It’s become a joke and is nowhere near the competition it was when seeing the best English teams go up against Europe’s best actually provided some thrill and challenge

Its not just an English football issue, British sport has turned a blind eye to doping in the last 10 - 15 years.

Agreed. British cycling and athletics has been disgraceful as well yet as long as teams keep winning everyone is happy to turn a blind eye.

These Americans have form with doping and cheating already, numerous allegations against their Red Sox teams as well. That’s probably why they brought Klopp in in the first place.
Klopp and Guardiola are, in my view, two of the biggest cheats in football, and they’re at institutions that are perfectly happy for them to get away with it. The 99/98 point season with both teams just winning every week, week after week after week was honestly just obscene for anyone who likes competitive football. Anyone with a brain cell could see that was completely unnatural for any side to achieve let alone two in the same season, let alone with both teams achieving a similar standard either the season before or after also.

Football has its poison everywhere. Foreign leagues are rife with organised match fixing, the premier league is rife with corrupt refereeing, fixture list manipulation, and doping.

Frankly wherever major money flows then corruption and cheating will follow it. Fine if people accept it but it’s just ridiculous that we’re now at a point when there’s barely a side in Europe who could give City or Liverpool a game in a CL two leg tie. None would start as favourite. Bayern Chelsea PSG Madrid you might hope could maybe match them but anyone else you’d be looking at a heavy defeat by multiple goals unless Pep has thrown one of his crazy formations out again. Liverpool could probably beat the majority of the CL knockout teams with their B team, and people think this is completely normal,

They were cycling off last season hence why they lost 6 at home in a row (even against us!). As soon as they flicked the switch they’ve lost once in 30 games since I think. Madrid got them just at the right time in that lull. That won’t happen this season as they’re back mid cycle now.

That Atletico game was a freak. There was one of Europe’s top teams and Liverpool ran over them at Anfield like they were a pub team. Their dominance was absolutely unbelievable, Atletico couldn’t get out. They got saved by Oblak so many times and Liverpool eventually succumbed to a few counters as they got ragged chasing the game. That game could have been 5-0 to Liverpool in the first half though, never seen anything like it. Completely unnatural.

That's fucking brilliant. City and Liverpool are so dominant we've amassed 1 European cup between us in 15 years. Yet in the supposed halcyon days when it was supposedly being shared around,

- in 11 years between 1956-66, just 4 teams won it from 3 cities.

- In the 6 years 71-76, just 2 teams won

- In the following 8 years, 7 of them were won by just 3 English clubs.

- Then in the wake of heysel and the change in format, it was unpredictable for a decade or so.

- Until normal business was resumed from 98 to the present day where it has been shared by 3 English clubs, Milan, Madrid and Barcelona. With 2 exceptions for mourinho's porto and inter.

It would appear out holy friend seems only upset when we are one of the more dominant teams. And by dominant, it's 2 wins and 2 runners up in 16 years.

Seems that they only get upset about footy when Liverpool are good but go all passive aggressive when they get called out on it.

Null and void the league because Liverpool might win it for the first time in 30 years and it will be hilarious if they miss out. But really it's because people are dying and the game is shit without fans.

Fast forward to the next season when the entire league was played behind closed doors. Everton go top for 5 minutes and they are all back in love with the game, Man City win it and its not a tainted title. All those people dying were suddenly forgotten about.

They were the moral guardians of the game for so long representing the old school, the traditional football club with a sense of community, the perennial underdogs who never had money. Then once a billionaire bought them they were constantly bragging about how rich they were and how they would overtake us. Pity they are the only club to get a billionaire owner, spend £500m and then be shitter than when they were skint.

The Super League 6 made them fume because it involved Liverpool and Everton weren't considered big enough to warrant a place in it. In reality their Tory donor owner would have jumped at the chance to be included and their fans wouldn't have complained at all because they would have been "back where they belong".

On his defense, it could be one fucking idiot with a bedsheet. Can you really make major life decisions based on one mega-wanker.

But it's not one mega wanker is it. They were vile all over social media at the time. He has lived through their fucking mentalness as Liverpool manager. It's not like he's a fella who doesn't know how he's feeding the kids or paying the mortgage. I don't understand why he's go near them. In fact I find it pretty weird.

If I remember rightly, there was a Twitter backlash by a lot of Bloos against that bedsheet nobhead.

I think loads of blues moaned about it. Just as many backed it and said stupid shit themselves. The cunts were singing fat spanish waiter at him in a pre-season friendly and nobody was surprised. Because even loads of their almost normal ones think it's alright to be mental if it involves the red shite.

It's definitely a weird move but I'll give him the benefit of the doubt given his family is settled there and he may not have had many offers on the table. And if he sits out, not managing for a few years, his stock drops further. Although if their results keep going the way they are he'd have been better taking the year off.
