How ironic that a country once living under apartheid should insist that their cricket squad has to contain at least two none-white players, regardless of their cricket ability.

Martin Luther King would be turning in his grave ".......judged not by the colour of their skin, but by the content of their character".

The sporting teams of SA must reflect the countries demographics. This is the official government line. There is big shit about to kick off with the SA Rugby board as the government wants to know why the Springboks do not have more people of colour in the team? They believe that it cannot be that the candidates are not good enough and there is a devious plot to keep rugby white.

Adam I don't believe that you can have something called positive discrimination that is actually positive mate.

Semantics.

That's what it is whether you view it as positive or not. I certainly think it's positive, because without it we wouldn't have KP.;)

Hehehe, so true. Just another update I nearly crashed the car this morning when the local radio station said they were interviewing the CEO of a rugby franchise from the Eastern Cape which best represents the countries demographics. they wany to ask him why his team can't get in the super 14. Should be a short interview , the answer is 'cos they are shite , plain and simple but no doubt he'll be coming out with his conspiracy theories.
