I don't think it is debatable that the Israeli treatment of Palestinians is deplorable and they should be held accountable by the international community. Even international courts. They are a disgrace.  

Hamas slaughtering more than 600 civilians in retaliation is equally sickening.

I cannot help but think this is a deliberate escalation by Hamas. They are fully aware what the response will be. Someone must have their back or they will be pretty much wiped out. It has to be a strategic plan.
