FA Cup 3rd Round Draw

Old fashioned me and still look forward to this.

 

Takes place at 7 tonight, we are number 22.

 

Be nice to not get a fucking PL team for a change.

 

Our last 4 FA Cup draws have all been against PL opposition and incredibly they were are all only 3rd and 4th round ties.

Hope the under 23s get a few easier games before they come up against a side that'll knock them out.

I hope we get a team from a few divisions down so we've a good chance of getting to the fourth round, as the more games kids like Elliott, Williams, Hoever and Jones get the better.

 

Kelleher and Brewster will already be loaned out by then, it seems.

Kelleher was way below the standard expected in the 5-5 Arsenal LC game. Definitely needs loan games at a League club. Brewster looks quite a bit off the mark too. Elliott looks almost close enough to be getting 15-20 minute spells in the first team. Maybe a Shaq replacement?

Yeah, Elliott looks special already, as do Hoever and Jones.

Don't think any of the goals were really his fault from what I remember.

I always pick the same 2 teams and it never happens, so I'm not picking them again. It'll probably be an away game against Leicester or somebody, while Man City get a glamour home tie against Conference relegation fodder.

Ive said it for a while, Im not fussed about the domestic cups for the next 3 or 4 years while we get the title monkey off our backs.

 

I hope we can do some good and get an away draw to a financially struggling League Two or League One club and we can swell their coffers in the process. Hopefully, we let them keep our share of the gate receipts into the bargain.

 

Obviously those fans are going to see a mainly Liverpool U23 side but when Liverpool are in town, we are still a draw so they should get a good crowd.

Be nice if the youngsters/fringe players get to strutt their stuff at home to Fylde, Hartlepool or some shit. I'll be praying that City and Leicester get drawn against each other or both away to Villa and the Red Mancs respectively.
