I've not read this thread, but I think we should recognise what happened here.

 

This is a City squad assembled at obscene expense to brush aside whatever they face.

 

We met them on their terms. You want attacking football? We've got attacking football.

 

When you've paid 40 or 50 quid to watch death-affirming dreck against Burnley or West Brom, you dream of days like this.

This time last season, Liverpool were out of the FA Cup, no Europe to look forward to, about to be dumped out of the League Cup and a total of 6 points ftom 7 league games through January/February.

 

This season the reds are still in the Cup, a winnable CL tie coming up and 6 league points already secured from 2 games.

 

Progress is steady, but good.
