He should never have come back. Hodgson is from the same school as Rafa. Men who can't step away from the game because it's all they know. I've seen this in the legal profession. Old school solicitors who just can't step away from it, working themselves into a grave because they know nothing else and won't step back. Proof, if anything, that Klopp is right to take a break.

Rafa has gone downhill a bit but comparing him to Hodgson is just cruel.

The more you think about it, the more it looks as though he was told by the owners last week that they wanted to replace him to salvage their season (a bit like how he himself got the gig last season). They might even suggested that it would be announced to the media as a club decision and that his contract will be paid in full. He took umbrage with the fact they wanted to ditch him, his ego couldn't countenance that he has got them into no better a position than when he arrived, and he went all Duke Brothers at the training ground. I can see it being a combo of Randolph's belligerence and Mortimer's physical distress. For reasons of optics, Palace have had to postpone the announcement of Glasner as his replacement. Ideally with their weekend game taking place on Monday night, they'd have preferred to have Glasner in already to assess the squad and have a few days to prepare for the game.

I actually thought he was a Saffer due to him being out there years back. If you listen to his accent it also has a South African tint. (If you haven't turned off before of course.)
