Agree, was in Annie Road end and watched volley from distance, went on and won the league, but stunning strike with Bruce G in full flight.....PS the old days, got in and stood on a pie crate as friend of family delivering half time snacks and snook me in to watch...regularly!!!

I logged on to say this one. Would you believe it, I remember the goal more than I do that we won the league that day! This makes me embarrassed.

 

I also thought the Sharp goal was incredible at the time (a Blue Nose next to me got picked up and thrown by his mates about 20 yards down the Kop, still celebrating). But after them running onto the pitch like that, I have wiped it from my memory. Except for the internet paedophile with the NHS glasses who was the first onto the grass. His jubilant-yet-demonic face will haunt me forever....

Remember it well,i was right on line with it in the kop,which was especially chocker that day.

Also ruined a brand new white t shirt when I used to fold and tuck my programme down the side of my jeans,my t shirt turned pink,which wasnt all that fashionable back then.
