Josh Taylor has a very impressive record, his next fight will be against his 6th unbeaten opponent in a row. Not sure I've seen anything like that anywhere else

His record for the amount of fights and what he's achieved is probably only surpassed by Usyk with active fighters. You're spot on Remmie. He's taken the tough road.

I think there were fights scheduled for January but the BBBC cancelled the whole of the month for covid reasons.

True. I imagine most people have cancelled and will subscribe again Feb onwards. I'm only going to subscribe when there's a few good UK events in the same month. I can watch all the US fights on Kodi the next day for free.

Looking at Sky sports schedule, as well, and it looks like Hearn has made a conscious decision not to run shows on the same night. Feb 5th is Williams/Eubank, 19th is Khan/Brook and the 26th is Taylor/Catterall - they've even put the Okolie fight on the Sunday to avoid clashing, not seen that in ages.

It's actually a good month for boxing, hopefully they can all avoid Covid as it's stopped a shit load of fights lately. Callum Johnson has it now and has lost out on his world title shot. Him Vs Smith Jr would have been an absolute blast

The Loneliest Sport

'My older, bigger brother Bernie had become a fighter, and knowing my ambition to be a fighter he started teaching me a few tricks of the trade. Bernie was a good fighter, but he had a glass chin. He taught me how to chew pine gum, straight from the tree, to strengthen my jaw. Then after a spell, he would test me to see if I had done enough chewing by throwing a left hook to my jaw, invariably I would be knocked down but after dusting myself off I would chew some more of the bitter tasting stuff.

I bathed my face in beef brine to toughen the skin. Bernie called it 'pickling' and said if I ever got cut, I wouldn't bleed. Once a day I would trek to and from the butchers shop carrying pails of the stinking stuff. At first the brine burned like hell, but I got used to it. Eventually my face got as tough as a saddle.'
