I understand Nat's desire for more first team football.

 

It must be soul destroying doing all the training and preparation for games, getting to a stadium, especially Anfield, hearing and seeing the buzz from the crowd, getting changed then sitting on the bench for 90 minutes knowing with each passing minute, the chances of you getting on the pitch are receeding. Then, at the final whistle, showering and doing what all the players do after the game.

 

That said, he has access to some of the best facilities in world football. He trains with world class players and coaches. The likes of Watford arent good enough for him and as Jurgen says, there are worse things in the world than being a Liverpool substitute.

He's a good defender and has shown himself to be smart enough to know his limitations. With the whole Covid shitshow and the serious injuries that three of our centre halves have had in the recent past, I think we'd be mad not to hold onto him until the summer.
