I had a listen to Smashing Pumpkins new offering "Shiny and Oh So Bright" last night and this morning. Some decent stuff on it but the first thing that struck me was his voice. It sounds like he's a 90 year old singing at times. Not sure if this is intended or his voice has just naturally faded but it was a bit off putting.

I just listened to the Richard Ashcroft album Natural Rebel from start to finish and I can't remember ever been as bored in my life. One of the worst, trite albums I've ever listened to. I know his solo stuff is generally guff but this latest output is well produced rubbish.

Anyway look at the state of Alex turner from The Arctic Monkeys here. He started about 8/9 years ago but it appears he has finally managed to insert himself fully up his own arse.
