Anand came back both in 2010 and 2012, but I think he's in more trouble this time.

Carlsen has played just fantastic the last 3-4 games.

What's surprised me is that Anand seems to be making some quite obvious mistakes that are spotted immediately by commentators as he makes them. Perhaps he's very nervous? 

 

Carlsen is fucking relentless, he just keeps pushing when everyone else seems to think another remis is on its way.

 

Anand looks very defensive, and I get the impression he doesn't really want to be playing Carlsen at all.

I didn't get to see all of the match today, but looking through it and reading about it after, that Ra4 move seemed very strange. 

 

And the thing about being defensive - that just doesn't work against Carlsen. (Not that being offensive works too well either :)

Another draw today. Carlsen leads by two points and Anand only have two games left as white. It's looking grimmer by the day for the reigning World Champion.

Carlsen changed style completely today. He just makes all his moves more or less immediately and leaves Anand scratching his head for long periods of time!

It seems strange that Anand is unwilling to take more chances. Today's draw only helps Carlsen.

 

Perhaps he feels it will be embarrassing to risk losing again, and prefers to go the entire match without a single win?

It's a completely different match today. Anand is really gunning for Carlsen and it's great to see. I can see this being the most exciting match so far in the championship.

What a mistake by Anand! I really thought the board in the studio showed a wrong move, and that Anand had blocked with the Bishop.

Unbeliveble really.

 

Carlsen will be the new champion by this time tomorrow :)

It's funny, it's almost as if Anand was more relaxed and happy after this defeat than he was after the last draw. Perhaps he's just glad it's coming to an end.

 

Full cred to him though for making this day as exciting as it was. Lesser players than Carlsen would have cracked under that pressure.

So he finally did it. Norway has the new world champion in chess. It's almost unreal. We're only 5 million people. India alone probably has hundreds of millions of chess players!

 

Carlsen is the second youngest world champion of all times, beaten only by Garry Kasparov.

 

Take a bow, Magnus Carlsen. What a fucking achievement.
