They’re having real difficulty understanding how a King’s Counsel who represented Leeds in one case 16 years ago is a) not employed by Leeds, and b) does not have a conflict of interest representing the PL now.

The club actually admitted they'd breached the rules and just disagreed by how much and wanted some leniency because of mitigating circumstances. And they got no leniency because with their continued buying of players despite warnings the PL thought they were taking the piss. Their guilt is not in doubt, not even by their own club.

I think the club have played them. The club have clearly fucked up. And rather than confirm what the Everton fans have said for the last year or two about the previous board and current ownership, they've issued a statement of mock outrage that the fans have swallowed. If their fanbase took time to digest and understand the findings, more of their anger would be directed at those running and owning the football club instead of the mythical bogeyman at the Premier League.

It's exactly what they did for the Super League. Knowing it involved us they ramped up the outrage.

 

Instead of wondering why they never got included when they were one of the 5 clubs who pushed for the PL.

The shite are about a 40 points side - take off the 10 and you are looking at 30...a total that will this season be enough to survive.

I love it when Evertonians talk with this sort of optimism.  It's just odd coming from Reds.

 

To stay up "easily" they will need about 35 points from 26 games; they will need to match the kind of teams who are competing for European spaces.  That's just not going to happen.  One way or another, they're in for a tricky season.
