2 things happened last night which are positive for the weekend.

 

1) Ferdinand got injured and won't play

 

2) They only have a slender lead against Arsenal, so will play a weakened team.

 

So, its a bit of logic after all, but mostly hope and a spoonful of precedent.

I had a dream about this game last night. United were leading 1-0 going into injury but Boro equalized 3 minutes into the 4 added on. Unfortunately, Gareth Barry (fuck knows what he was doing in the Boro defence) said something that Mike Riley took offence to and the latter awarded United a penalty. Ladyboy slotted home the winner with the final kick of the game.

I live close to Boro and as a result I have a lot of Boro supporting mates, the majority of them believe they will get a result this Saturday. I can't remember the last time I saw Boro get battered by a top-four side at home. Heart says 2-0 Boro, head says 1-1.

Totally agree if anything they treat it like a cup final!! Boro are one of the worse teams for doing it...if they showed 50% of the effort throughout the season as they do against United then they would be top 10!!
