I’m a fan of Mad Men but The Fugitive (David Janssen) is number one for me. Button Moon is number two.

Brilliant show. One of the few where time lost its measurements and I was always shocked when the end credits arrived.

I spent the first few seasons confused why this was such a critical darling, but ended in awe of it.

 

I’m rewatching, now, and I still agree with my initial reservations - Don’s backstory is utterly preposterous and Betty’s behaviour in the first season has no consequences - but it really is a marvel of characterisation and thematic resonance.
