Is It Hollywood? No - It's Aldridge!

Something glamorous was causing a bit of a commotion in Aldridge town centre last Friday - after a professional drag artist stepped out in front of the camera.

Lady Veuvette stepped out onto High Street in front of the movie camera for the shooting of a short film titled Serial Shoe Thief. The film was being shot by Walsall writer and director Paul Dolmen, better known as journalist Paul Kemp.

And the action took place in and around Stephanie's Ladies Clothing Shop.

"I think we caused a bit of a stir for several hours on the high street," Paul said.

"Lady V got quite a few wolf whistles from unsuspecting gentleman drivers.

"And there were only a couple of abusive shouts, which Lady V brushed off like a kink in her wig."

The short film is due for completion later this month and will be shown at film festivals and will be available on the internet.
