Check out a cracking wheat beer you can get in Tesco called Weihenstephan which is from the worlds oldest brewery in the 14th century. Other great wheat beers include Grimbergen, La Gauloise, Etalon and my new favourite Svyturys (the wheat beer version) which tastes lush. Mmmmm wheat beer.

I'm all about (mostly) the local ale nowadays. Last night was a delicious IPA from the Thornbridge Brewery in Bakewell; our local offy sells all kinds of local and world beers and is comfortably the best local beer-off I've ever known (you can take cask ale home by the pint too).

I really wish I could get my hands on some of the brews from the Orkney Brewery.

 

Could really do with a bottle of The Red MacGregor, Skullsplitter, or Northern Light.

Orkney Dark Island ale is the best I've tried. I was paying 45 quid to get a 4 pack airmailed to Oz until my missus read my credit card statement.

Skullsplitter is aptly named, but another lovely drop.

Not been in, but the Ship And Mitre have recently opened a shop called 'Ship In A Bottle' in Liverpool City Centre on Whitechapel (over the road from American Pizza Slice), which sells some of the beers they do in the pub.
