John Lewis (not the shop company to the smart arses) went on Mastermind during the mid-nineties, his subject was Chester during the roman occupation or something, he didn't fair to well on the subject but in the general knowledge rounds I think he was the best contestant. He didn't win.

It's either Vaduz or Valetta with the other one being Malta's capital. Valetta sounds more Italian so I'll go with Vaduz
