Is there anything, or anyone in world football more tedious than Kylian M'Bappe?

Paris St-Germain forward Kylian Mbappe, 25, and his camp are unconvinced by Real Madrid's latest offer to the France international, who can move on a free transfer this summer, as it is lower than a previous proposal from May 2022.

There was an hour-long conversation with Nasser Al-Khelaifi, president of PSG, and Kylian Mbappe. They shook hands and Mbappe said "that's it, we are gone".

The French media, and other chosen media, got the memo from PSG saying he is leaving.

PSG are saying "yes he is leaving" but a bunch of things were mentioned as they are trying to put a positive spin on the story.

His signing fee will reportedly be north of 100 mil. Just his signing bonus.

Part of the problem with Mbappe is that he’s been institutionalised at PSG  into believing he’s the most important footballer on the planet. He’d have a massive dose of the sulks a month into any new club.

He sulks when things are going great.

Never mind when he has to dig in.

I think even they have admitted it is one or the other due to their strict adherence to FFP.

Be all the random payments to dead agents and family members that does it.

Germany midfielder Joshua Kimmich, 29, is set to leave Bayern Munich at the end of the season because his relationship with manager Thomas Tuchel has broken down.

Xabi Alonso was Kimmich's best pal and took him under his wing when the player arrived from Leipzig.

Part of that is true - the other part I made up.

How can they afford to keep doing mad deals like this while Barcelona ended up completely fucked for overspending?

Madrid's spending capability has never made sense to me.

They're the government's club and the Royal family's club, they will not be allowed to fail, they always find a scam that saves them, like selling their training ground for €200m.

From wiki: During the 2009–10 season, Real Madrid made €150 million through ticket sales. Doubt that's gone down, that looks mad for ticket sales alone.

They can afford to go all out every now and then and I doubt their wage bill is as high as when they had Ronaldo, Bale and Benzema on the books. Probably have Kroos and/or Modric leaving in the summer to balance it as well. They are an easy sell to free transfers like Alaba and they pick up a lot of excellent talents for relatively little while offering them viable pathways to the first team.

The bastards.

And selling the training ground (good shout), that definitely stopped them hitting a pinch point like Barca did. Don't think all the tax scandals helped Barca in the financial management stakes either...

Not quite 150 - it is a bit less after the Covid break, but won't be next year.

They are guaranteed @ 120 mil then it depends how far they advance in the CL. These were the reported revenues by year.
