I was gutted when they got Kagawa, but it couldn't have turned out better.

As Rooney's legs go it was always nailed on he'd end up as a 10. So they buy one of Europe's best number 10s and play him out of position to accommodate old wheetabix hair. Then, when that doesn't work out they panic buy Mata, and continue to struggle to see where the problem lies.

So they buy a more expensive replacement and still don't solve the Rooney shaped problem. Genius.

Kagawa now gone back to Dortmund, all 3 Scum managers fucked that transfer up hideously, he could've been great for them

Sahin and Kagawa were fantastic for Dortmund before they left, but have struggled for form and/or fitness since then. Both have clearly moved back to Dortmund to try and rekindle their old form. Gotze's form and fitness were a bit patchy last season after moving to Bayern and he didn't consistently show the sort of ability that made every club in Europe sit up and take notice. What are the chances of the same thing happening to Lewandowski? It's possible that looking excellent in the Dortmund team doesn't easily translate to success elsewhere. When you move and suddenly earn mega wages it can be hard to replicate the hunger that made you so coveted in the first place.

Is exactly right.

Chelsea dodged a huge bullet when he resigned for United - of all the mistakes they've made since Ferguson left, that was the biggest.  That 300k/week contract until he's 33 is going to drag them down like a massive anchor because not only does it massively overpay an average player, it makes it virtually impossible to replace him in the lineup.

Out of all the fuck ups they have made in recent the Rooney situation is one of the biggest, they should have flogged him to Chelsea for 30 mill when they had the chance, he is still a good player but much like he is for England he is a square peg in a round hole for the mancs, being the lone man up front for Chelsea would have suited him more, it would have suited the mancs more as well as they could have found a pacey striker to go with/back up van Persie and play their number 10s Mata and Kagawa in the position they are most dangerous.

Im waiting for the van Gaal and Rooney situation to come to a head at some point this season, they would be better off without him there when van Persie is playing, he gets in the way taking up space other players should be in and slows down their attack, the elephant in the room can't hide forever, something eventually has to snap, it'll most likely be van Persies hamstring though leaving Rooney with a free ride up top on his own which tbf is his best position.

If you can keep your head when all about you

    Are losing theirs and blaming it on you,

If you can trust yourself when all men doubt you,

    But make allowance for their doubting too;

If you can wait and not be tired by waiting,

    Or being lied about, don’t deal in lies,

Or being hated, don’t give way to hating,

    And yet don’t look too good, nor talk too wise:

If you can dream—and not make dreams your master;

    If you can think—and not make thoughts your aim;

If you can meet with Triumph and Disaster

    And treat those two impostors just the same;

If you can bear to hear the truth you’ve spoken

    Twisted by knaves to make a trap for fools,

Or watch the things you gave your life to, broken,

    And stoop and build ’em up with worn-out tools:

If you can make one heap of all your winnings

    And risk it on one turn of pitch-and-toss,

And lose, and start again at your beginnings

    And never breathe a word about your loss;

If you can force your heart and nerve and sinew

    To serve your turn long after they are gone,

And so hold on when there is nothing in you

    Except the Will which says to them: ‘Hold on!’

If you can talk with crowds and keep your virtue,

    Or walk with Kings—nor lose the common touch,

If neither foes nor loving friends can hurt you,

    If all men count with you, but none too much;

If you can fill the unforgiving minute

    With sixty seconds’ worth of distance run,

Yours is the Earth and everything that’s in it,

    And—which is more—you’ll be a Man, my son!

so seems Hernandez is joining the exodus on loan to Real Madrid, like Nani and Kagawa he is a useful player who just hasn't been utilised well in recent seasons, hopefully they carry on selling players like this who could be decent options if used right and keep hold of the shite like Welbeck, Cleverley,Fletcher and Jones

End of August and they're only in two competitions I guess their squad is a bit too big

As long as Cloghead sticks to his 3-5-2, the mirth shall multiply. The longer he continues with it, the more it will seem like a defeat when (if), he changes it. I just can't see why he is stubbornly persisting with it. Long may it continue though, I'm definitely a fan.

Man United players still haven't grasped the Van Gaal way but penny WILL drop vows Darren Fletcher

"It’s mentally challenging. Training. Videos. Constant learning. I’m confident we’ll put things right" says midfielder after Saturday's blanking by Burnley

Sounds like fun. I hope Fletchet has the stomach for the fight.
