Anyone know where we'd be in the league if the season started when Kenny took over?

Yeah we'd be in 3rd place but having played more games than those around us.

1.Chelsea 11 26pts

2.Utd 12 25pts

3.Liverpool 13 24pts

4.Arsenal 11 23pts

5.Everton 12 22pts

It is a little misleading as he took over midseason and didn't have time to work through a pre-season. It will be more interesting to see how we fare next season. I can't fucking wait.

Why would anyone want a 4th manager in 12 months???

Especially when we have one of the best managing us currently?

Fucking madness. Just give the job to him.

He will get it, and he should. He's achieved enough in the league this year to earn it.

Everyone knows I had my concerns before he took over. I felt the long gap since his last coaching role would be a major issue, but fortunately it hasn't. I have been impressed by the willingness to change tactics in different games, and more recently by the blooding of younger players. He's put them in as he thinks they've earned the right to play on merit, not simply because we're playing a League Cup game tonight, as was the case before him. A policy I have always advocated, as it's more beneficial for the players to get in the team only when they're ready for the step-up. And they've done very well since they came in.

I still though, have some concern over Europe. Our performances in each game since Christmas were very poor, scoring only one goal. Some of it was down to injuries, and poor replacements, but the direct Carragher to Carroll stuff against Braga didn't work and it was clear from very early on, that it wasn't working. The next time it could be against a better team, and I wonder how we'll deal with it if we have the same task in front of us. I hope Kenny will be able to turn it around then.
