And the reason the Echo never previously criticised Everton is that they simultaneously

(a) are all Kopite piss-takers; and

(b) were in thrall to Prentice, who was just a shill for the club.

Dave Prentice being communications director is another terrible appointment.

God, I hope they go down.

It will be good for the city as you'll have tons of championship fans coming to the city in droves for a massive day out on the ale in Evertons new stadium. The novelty for them visiting Liverpool rather than going to Stoke or Middlesbrough.

They might even spend money in our club shop like the Atalanta fans.

Be funny with all this talk of organising a prestige friendly with Juventus or Barcelona as the stadium inauguration but their first competitive game is against Plymouth or Barnsley.

The Stadium won't be ready until the 24/25 season.

They could be in League one by then!

The Everton fanbase seems to be organised broadly like the Mafia. A few older guys at the top who talk about a bygone age of success, loyalty and mutual respect, then a younger generation who run around in tracksuits robbing disabled people.

And fellas who moan about being in prison for 28 years but still stay loyal to the organisation.

If they beat Southampton and West Ham, they will have a good chance.  If they lose both of those games, they're fucked. Anything in between leaves them in Purgatory.

Southampton badly fucked up getting the Luton manager in. He hasn't won a game since he started and looks completely out of his depth.

His record at Stoke was absolutely shocking, and even worse, he's a god-botherer.

Southampton fans saying he is a route one merchant and it doesn't suit them.

If Everton don't beat them I might start wondering if....

Everton going down would be great for the city, and I'm not saying that out of spite, but the derby has become the most poisonous game of the season by far,  and it's been that way for at least 20 years. There's no friendly rivalry now, it's just pure bile. Happy to wave that goodbye myself.

havent been for a few years..Think the worst I remember was the cup reply in about 07?(when they spawned that winner) the entire ground singing murders. Perversely it was, along with the mancs, the best away to go too.

Don't do it to yourselves lads. They'll stay up

There's a lot of our fans like yourself saying they're not going down likewise every blue is saying they're definitely gone. A lot of this is just protecting yourself from what you don't want so that if it happens it's like oh well i did say all along. Not directed at you Paulie, I just mean generally.

What will be will be but I do think they're in a much worse position this year than last year when they survived by skin of their teeth, shitter squad, no other club/s already adrift at the bottom, still got Frank etc.

Is that those 2 seasons in the 80's?
