Going away with my Wife and i'm just looking for some ideas, i'm getting my redundancy from my job soon and want to go on a break. We've been to Prague, Krakow, Barcelona, Munich, Rome, Paris and Amsterdam so if anyone has somewhere they can recommend highly, we have about 5/6 days.

I was looking for somewhere with maybe some kind of festival going on but i can't find anything but that doesn't matter too much.

I was thinking of maybe Seville and Valencia but anyother ideas would be ace.

Stockholm is a beautiful, clean, safe city. Obviously it will be cold then though. You can get a cheap flight with ryanair too.

Berlin is very nice and getting into Autumn/Winter time there will always be some Market, street type festival going on.

If you fancy something a bit warmer and further afield, try Jerusalem, but it's a fair old schlip for just 5 days or so. Worth the trip though mate.

Berlin and Stockholm are great shouts, i think Jerusalem is a bit too far like you said mate. Stockholm is interesting me alright, how cold is cold that time of year? Would i have to bring 6 suitcases of warm clothes, a suitcase for each day?

Colder than here but I think you would be alright. I've got friends there, so I've been about a dozen times now. Excellent place. The only downside is it can be expensive.

Yeah i was just checking out some hotels are they're not afraid to charge. I was in another part of Sweden about 10 years ago and i remember the drink being quite expensive as well.

Indeed. Although they have a great transport system and it's easy to get around the city, if you're just looking exclusively in the city centre at the moment, which are obviously more pricey. I don't know where your based but if you're near Liverpool, you can some cracking flight deals. I remember once, I got a flight with ryanair for 2 pence return, and had free accomodation from my friend. Ace.

Another good suggestion, have you been there RJ?

Afraid not mate, but came very close last autumn on similar deals.

I've probably got some decent linkage but I'm on the blower. So will link tomorrow.

Always a top tip is travelzoo.co.uk they do a top 20 deals every wednesday. I got it from there originally also may have something to suit. Just got Cuba, 14 nights inclusive, stay in Havana for 3 nights and loads of extras for £800 off them.

Only ever heard good things and with that deal and good exchange rate seemed like a good time to get on it.
