I never pigeon hole players because of who they play for but lets face it Davies is a typical midtable striker and anyone lining up in defence for LFC should be able to handle him comfortably

That's crap logic because i've seen carra struggle against davies many times.

He's shit. Absolute shit. One of the most limited players I've ever seen at LFC. However, I like him, because the one thing he does, and does well, is head the ball. He should be playing against the likes of Blackburn and Bolton, but against teams that play football, he's a liability, see the Blackpool match.

Spot on, mate.

He's not "absolute shit". Not at all. He's a very limited footballer, but he's not shit. Been easily our best centre back this season.

He'll play against Chelsea because he's in form and there isn't a convincing alternative. Drogba will do no more damage to him than he'd do to any of our centre backs, anyway. In fact, he'll do less in the air...

Skertl in his first couple of games against drogba really done well, I'd go as far to say of he'd not gone of injured in the semi in 2008 we'd have got to the final

This.

He may not be absolute shit, but there are certain teams he should not play against, like Chelsea, Arsenal, Spurs etc. And there are other teams he is well suited to play against.

He is a good option to have and have been a value for money signing. I like him.

Agree with many, has been one of the best signings we have made in years for the price. He's one of our most consistent players this season although that isn't really saying much.

Who do we play against the likes of Chelsea, Arsenal and Spurs?

Who are these quick, cultured readers of the game that will be replacing him?

We defend deep in almost every single game we play, against the good sides it will be even deeper.

He's the best of a not particularly good bunch.

He's as good an option as we have against Drogba, Chamakh, Crouch, etc. on current form. Therefore, as things stand, he should play against those sides.

I stand by that. He can head a ball - nothing else.

he's also 2 footed - something that every footballer should have in his locker but most don't.

Kyrgiakos is a much better footballer than people give him credit for.

To say he can head a ball and nothing else is like watching the highlights.

I've seen him enough times thank you - all he can do well is head a football. He's garbage, otherwise.

Soto and Skrtel have formed a fairly solid partnership in the last 2/3 weeks. Skrtel looks to be playing his best football alongside the big Greek. Kyriakos isn't the quickest or mobile, however he makes up for it with great positioning sense, a solid header of the ball and his ability to make last ditch challenges, if and when needed. He is cool and calm on the ball and the great thing is, the fans love him, everyone is behind him. Long may Soto's great vein of form continue.
