Iceland Volcano

Posted it in the climate thread on Saturday, it's been slowly escalating since the start of October with earthquakes/seismic activity increasing in frequency over the last 6 weeks and a 1.5km deep/12km long magma tunnel forming inland to the sea.

Couldn't pay me to be wandering around there checking stuff out, if it went big you'd be fucked.

Mount Etna is also playing up and a new island has formed off the coast of Japan because of an eruption (although it's unlikely to stick around).

Maybe stay clear of trips to Yellowstone for a few months......

I’m supposed to be in Reykjavík in a few weeks with work. I was really looking forward to it as I was going to travel out of town to see the northern lights. I’d imagine that’ll be cancelled now even just as a precaution.

No! You'll get to see the Northern Lights AND an active volcano. Ok, ultimately you may die, but that's two off the bucket list before you go.
