It is a calf injury and he is due to have a scan today. Apparently its a bad one and he might miss the WC.

In some respect I feel a little sorry for our players who will miss the World Cup. At the same time, while we'll miss them for the remaining period to when the PL gets suspended they will hopefully be fresh and available for when the PL season resumes from Boxing Day.

Yeah it could be worse. It’s shit, obviously and seems to just be down to bad luck at this point. I feel for the lad as missing the World Cup must be hard ( not really the world cup for me) but hopefully for us it’s no more than five league games he’s out for.
