It irritates me greatly that yet again there is domestic cup action and we are out of it early.

I think once we give arsenal a good bumming on the weekend and their excuse is that we've had a full weeks rest then you'll get over it.

Some fella on Facebook said that from this season, bookings and suspensions are now competition specific, so it looks like he'll be okay for Saturday

Fella is wrong.

Suspensions from yellows are competiton specific - but you get a red then it comes into play across the comps like before

It  irritates me even more that our CL game kicks off at 5.55pm and I finish work at 6pm that week!!!

Don't worry Suzy , I live around the corner from Melwood so I'll have a word & ask the lads to go easy for 15 or 20 minutes to let you get home before we score.

Just saw some highlights clips from last night's Edinburgh derby, and it's a catalogue of shitness all round. The ref sent off a Hibs player for 2 bookable offences, neither of which was worthy of a booking, especially the first one. Then the Hearts goalkeeper had a minor altercation with the Hibs fans behind the goal when the ball went out of play. He might have been touched by the fan but he went down clutching his face and rolling around, which just makes it look like he was milking it and trying to get someone else in trouble. Hearts had a goal ruled out in stoppage time for an offside in the build-up, and the Hibs manager Neil Lennon started goading the Hearts fans about it (Lennon is a fucking idiot who doesn't help himself sometimes). Someone in the crowd chucked a coin which hit him in the face, and he went down the same way the Hearts goalkeeper had done earlier. Again it looked like he was exaggerating things, although it's obviously wrong for fans to chuck coins. As an aside, how do people ALWAYS hit the target when they do stuff like this? Thrown objects and laser pointers always hit the target, and I'll bet it's the same people who piss everywhere but inside the bowl when they go for a piss.

De Bruyne out for another 5/6 weeks after damaging ligaments in his other knee last night.

Is that linked to what was wrong with him previously? Seems a bit nuts that with the resources City have they'd rush anyone back, even one like De Bruyne.

It's his left knee this time. The previous injury was to his right knee.
