If we wanted physical presence I'd go with Lambert, but I can see them having a decent amount of the ball, or rather, I can't see us having much in their third. Therefore we need players who will work hard and can drag defenders about. Even if Borini doesn't have a shot in the whole game he's less likely to be offside 12 times, and more likely to create a bit of space for Sterling, Coutinho, etc.

I just think like you say they'll have quite a bit of the ball, I was impressed by this when we played them home, that when the ball goes up field we make it stick, maybe Lambert and Borini to start then? And Sterling or Coutinho on the bench? Giving us best of both worlds.

Sterling has been gash out on the wings and although I'd sooner see him in the hole (insert McCarthy gif) i also would like one of our forwards to run about a bit. I'd happily swap Lambert for Borini but let's see if his goal has boost his confidence any.

Id start that against Ludogorets. Lallana can come in for Gerrard if needs resting, and Henderson for Can likewise.

Apart from that id stick with that team for the next ten games.

As far as im concerned the full backs can stay back and defend until the defence gets more confidence, and if the match dictates that the full backs can go forward then so be it.

I cant believe im saying this but id start Jones probably as well. I think Mingolet isnt helping his defence, i think his fragile confidence is shot and i dont think he is good enough.
