Normally, the BBC would have this as breaking news soon after Sky announce it, IF it can be verified. BBC haven't run with it so I suspect they've found no verification, and it's another case of Sky claiming unknown sources for info that drives activity on their SkyBet service. They've been known to do that before, especially when they discuss a rumour then immediately refer to SkyBet betting odds.

 

It's completely out of order

Surely the club would have spoken with Phil before putting out that statement and in that conversation would have agreed he isn't leaving.

 

Even FSG aren't amateur enough to fuck up like that.

 

And Sky are vermin.
