Jordan Henderson - what are you?

Watched the lad today and I am convinced that young Shelvey is a better player than him. Spearing is better, and I would bet that Coady would at least attempt something positive during the course of a game.

It's shite slagging our players but I really do not know what he is supposed to be doing. He doesn't tackle, he doesn't take chances with a pass. All i've watched him do is run about doing fuck all.

We bought the lad on the strength of some good shows for his club and it was documented other clubs were interested in him. Jumped the gun I reckon and we are stuck with him. He's only a pup so may improve but his basic ability has me doubtful of this happening as he hides all the time.

Players who arrive at our place with a big reputation sometimes struggle to get to grips with what is expected of them. I just wonder whether he is actually talented enough to keep a first team place. Thing is Kenny plays him regularly so must see something in him. I don't get it though.

Him and Downing dropped for Bellamy and 1 of 2 between Dirk and Maxi for the final. Big number 9 gets a start. He deserves it.

Past your bedtime isnt it?

While I do not want to add to SL's euphoria ( who no doubt is furiously wanking himself like a coked up rhesus monkey, envisioning some sort of virtual vindacation vagina through squinted eyes on the verge of collapse from hyperventilation)

the fella was absolutely horrific today - not a single positive.

Whoever came up with the name readysalted.

He really needs to take that shit back to the drawing board; it's a poor, poor effort by his standards. Too long and no venom to it whatsoever. "Horrenderson" - now there's a nickname we can all get behind.

That said, I think Henderbender is a tidy enough player who should prove good for us over the years. Such teeth! Such hair!

You're an unfunny, smug, boring, patronising twat who is about 50% as clever as you wish you were.

Although, I don't suppose you are so heroically unaware that you don't already know know this

I have been away for 10 days and therefore not online to view this forum, but sure as night follows day, you are here again after every game -YOU TEDIOUS TWAT, fuck off from this forum and follow a team where you like the players, nobody likes you here and you obviously don't support the team or rate the manager's judgement, so do one and piss off!

Anyone who thought he had a good game today are in some sort of fantasy world, as for the assist for Gerrards goal, you mean the hopefull punt into the box that the defender was inexplicably incapable of dealing with. Loads of our attacks broke down or stalled when he got the ball and his general standard of passing was fucking criminal. The boy tries, but he is obviously not good enough and having shown no improvement since he got here and no glimpse of anything other than mediocrity its fair he will never be a big player for us, ever, ever. How shelvey isnt getting a game ahead of him is criminal.

No, I don't.

I do. He was shite for ages. At the time it was because he was a "kid" and that Benitez was somehow training his attacking instincts out of him, and one day we'd see the "box to box" Brazilian Gerrard that so many people wanted him to be.

However, the club and - to his credit - the player himself realised that he was never going to be good enough or quick enough to play that role, and so over time he did what lots of poor players do; play as a specialist holding midfielder, where endeavour, tackling and passing the ball 5 yards are the basic minimum requirememts.

It's the easiest position in football to be a mediocre holding player, or defensive midfielder, and that is what he is. Mediocre. OK. Ordinary. And given how shit he was, for so long, improving himslef to that level is laudable.

Very few can elevate themselves to "great" in that position, but players like Souness, Vieira, Keane, Masher, Hamann, Makelele, Martinez, Cambiasso, Petit, Inler et al are special.

Lucas is not.
