If I had not been over twice the last five weeks I would have taken my chances on the Wigan game and combined it with Pompey away if that was possible.

Not sure my boss will be happy if I take 3 more days off though since I`m going on a 2 weeks holiday from the 22nd.

Why on the phone?

Why not window sales?

£2.50 extra per transaction?

Looking after fans Ayre and Purslow?

That, plus more chance of snagging club shop types if it's by phone only

If you can't afford it then you're the wrong type of 'customer'.

Thank fuck i use one of my mate's season ticket while he's away.

In the past i've had to rely on getting tickets off forums. In 2003-04 i think i got to every game at home and didn't buy one myself. Looking back it was far too much hassle for the shit we served up that season.

Ayre told SOS last year that they were gonna try and sort out a local number. Nothing.

Ayre is talking through his arse. I worked in telecoms for a while and all those 0845 numbers have a local number attached at the site the call is answered, which it is routed to through the exchange. So they already have one - just dont want to share it, you can probably work out why

Any way of finding it out?

Only if you knew someone in their techie team, or BT's techies, as Liverpool will rent a series of phone numbers that will be used for the normal office phones, but some will be allocated to the tickets lines. But loads of these numbers leak out on websites like SAYNOTO0870.COM - Non-Geographical Alternative Telephone Numbers though I've never saw the ticket line there.

Just picked this up off the website, might help:

"Many companies advertise a separate number that can be used when calling from abroad - This usually begins in the format +44 - There is nothing to stop you using this number from the UK (as it is a normal rate telephone call), and will be included in any inclusive minutes provided by your landline or mobile phone provider. Many others will give you a standard number if you ask."

edit - just checked the official, looks like the number for overseas goes to an 0870 number as well

Nice one for looking, tried both options about 6 months ago though, Saynoto0870 had something on there not too long ago about ringing up the museum and asking to be put through but that was a no go. And if you're calling from overseas it's still the +44870 220 2151.
