Bald

Very liberating to embrace your baldness. As soon as you are tempted by a comb over, shave the fucking stuff off. You wont regret it for a second and instantly you look like a hard bloke. I do actually look a lot like my avatar albeit without the makeup.

People who shave their head virtually to the bone despite not going bald are a bit odd aren’t they?

Yep. Not sure why they wouldn't want to keep their scalp.

When is the right time to go for the really short to zero cut?

Mine is receding but with a bit of styling product I can usually get away without it being noticeable.

Don’t think I’ve ever had a skinhead but got pissed off with it during lockdown so shaved it all off. Felt so much better, especially in the hot weather. Got a pair of clippers so just going to shave it myself now instead of going the barbers.

I feel like I've been on the brink of baldness for 6 years now but still have hair on top that hides it, but when I go swimming it's pretty obvious.

I have a bald guy who said he will tell me when to admit defeat.

I do enjoy rubbing my bald spot, it's incredibly smooth.

Two of my nephews did the hair restoration operations in Turkey and both look great and feel it was well worth the money. Don’t think I would bother myself but luckily my dad had a DA until he died so shouldn’t be needed.

Course you can.  Do you have a hamlet spare?

Nah, people should do whatever they feel most comfortable with.

I did that, but now I have to keep a minimum distance from schools and sports centre changing rooms.

    • A horrible horrible cunt. And Diouf.
    • Our academy did well when it started out, but it was stifled through the period when Rafa was here when they seemed at odds with each other philosophy and Rafa built a shadow young reserve team and there was little to no cooperation. But since then there's been plenty of wins despite how long it takes for players to come through. Admittedly a lot of those players haven't always started at the club at 8 and they've been parachuted in on their mid teens, but that's part of how it works now.  I would be amazed if it doesn't pay for itself and more. We currently have one of the best right backs in world football (well unless you're Gareth Southgate), along with some fringe players and promising talent. Surely it only gets better now the kids are on the same site as the players.    I don't think you can expect one superstar per generation and a handful of decent talents I think is the most we can expect and if we get more, it is a bonus.
    • The only way I'd be behind a breakaway league is if it's a kick up the arse to UEFA and the Premier League to get their shit together - e.g. by employing competent referees. Sadly this just looks like a massive cash grab for the bigger clubs.
    • Defo hope we do this. Tough learning ground down there compared to the pampered academy players or some contract bagger.
Been some decent signings for prem clubs the past couple of seasons and we’ve benefitted brilliantly with relegated players. Without any evidence to back this up, imo, these lads have that bit more hunger to succeed after being overlooked by the bigger clubs academies when they were younger and have been allowed to develop without the pressure of making it at the top clubs.   I don’t feel our academies been that much of a success for how long it’s been running. There doesn’t seem to be that much long term development in getting the right players in the big positions for the first team. From what I’ve seen over the years, it’s just a case of getting 11 players on the pitch in none competitive games and letting them stay doing nothing.
