You going to answer my question?

What question? Do I value Real Madrid's trophies?

Well, they've been a famous (and great) team since the days of Puscas and Di Stefano (a bit before my time) and I remember Emilio Butragueno and Hugo Sanchez being great players, so this recent hatred of them due to the "Galactico" phenomenon (which isn't new, and is a pure media construct) is a mystery to me.

They've ALWAYS been funded by the government, and before that General Franco, so I refuse to jump on this bandwagon now.

Happy?

PS And this doesn't mean I like them. I supported them a bit more when Macca was there and was overjoyed when they kept giving Man United a bloody nose in the CL (did you support United?) .

At the moment I'm hugely enjoying Derek Beckham's failure to win ANYTHING, but I will not join in rubbishing a great club's record. Because it's fucking ridiculous.

That doesn't really explain how winning trophies by plunging £200m into debt is an acheivement though?

I'm not doubting they are a great and historic club, just that I can't see how you can repect victories gained on a massively uneven playing field (as with Chelsea at the moment). Real did the same thing as Chelsea but just with an overdraft instead of a sugar daddy.
