Not a good performance but the own goals got us out of jail. I agree with Carragher that Trent and Thiago were the pick of our players. Trent's justifiably taken a lot of stick for us his defending this season, but he was really switched on in that second half. Everyone else probably ranged between average and poor. Henderson's passing was absolutely shocking at times.  We had more than enough chances to put it to bed in the second half. As funny as the 2 own goals were, it would have been much more beneficial for the second one to hit the post and go straight in as the missed chances are starting to look like they're getting to Nunez now. We're gonna have to be a lot better than that at both ends of the pitch to win at Brentford.

Won and got 3pts without playing well - so take that of course.

But please, LFC - please, pleaae fucking please sort out the midfield....Get some legs, physicality, ability to win 2nd balls and ability to sense and stop danger.

We can't go on with these current midfield options.

3 very important points, can only improve on this.

Starting to look forward to Gakpo, Nunez and Salah lining up against Brentford already.

Hopefully Konate and Fabinho back in for us too.

Ivan Toney seems to have suffered a bad injury tonight as well so that makes it a bit easier also.

The Leeds, Forest and Arsenal games have really fucked our position in the table.

Just the Leeds and Forest game, and for as shit as we've been this season we'd be a point behind City and 6 behind Arsenal. One good midfield signing and we would be challenging, 2 and were fine

Someone else - frankly anyone else needs to be the 3rd forward in next game - Oxlade playing there is like playing with a man short.

As for the midfield - it is a serious worry for Monday - 3rd game in a week should mean Henderson nowhere near it, but what options do we have?

I'd be tempted to say Fabinho, Thiago, Bajcetic is probably best option.
