that's so wrong its unbelievable.  Almost every game he has played for us he's been the best player on the park, and got us to within a sniff of winning four trophies in one year.  He was the key player in that.

Was he bollocks the key player and was he bollocks almost always our best player.

Just total bollocks.

I know, but I’d rather not be calling him all kinds for something he has little control over like some are doing.

You don't know how little control he has over it. You don't know what he does to keep himself in the right sort of shape. We don't know if he goes to the lengths say Mo does with a hyperbaric chamber and full gym at home to keep getting prepared when he's not with the club. We don't know if he's one of those players like Sturridge who just refuses to play if he feels any kind of pain. What's clear here is we don't get our return on the 200k a week he costs us.

Jesus fucking Christ. One man team then eh. To give an indication of how he was the best player every week, I found this link. 1 mom performance all season. It's not real science, but if he was the all singing all dancing superstar you and others paint him, he might have got a bit closer to the likes of Mo on 9. To put some more perspective on it, he got the same number as Joe Gomez.

We don't converse on this subject Barry, have you forgotten?

see, that's the sort of reasoned debate I look forward to.

Sometimes a claim is so laughable that the reply needs to be like it was.

I often agree with you and enjoy your posts - but to call Thiago the key man in the side and nearly always our best player is IMHO absolute, total bollocks.

He couldn't do the milner role. It's firstly takes being available. It then requires physicality. And finally it requires you to be adaptable. Thiago is none of these things.

The faith some people have in this chump is incredible..he gets injured, you don't hear about him for months, he comes back and is rusty as fuck, giving the ball away all the time and giving up golden chances, then he starts to find some form and rhythm and gets injured again. Rinse and repeat. Absolutely pointless player.

Well thank God for that.

Do we really need a player to come on the last 10 minutes just to give away stupid free kicks in dangerous positions because he is slow as fuck and not very good?

The day Thiago is restricted to just be able to do the Milner role, he can fuck right off.

Thiago doesn't need to come on in the last 10 minutes to give away stupid free kicks.

When he's not collecting £200k a week for doing fuck all (so about 5 weeks a year), he manages that right from the KO.

He'd be lucky to be able to give us 10 minutes.

With him he seems a really good pro. Very few players are built to be able to handle the amount of minutes at such intensity, add on top the training and conditioning work etc. They can't just choose not to turn up these days with the sports science and data involved. Lazy players can't hide anymore.

I don't think we will offer Thiago a new contract.

Caught offside aren't reliable.

It's been pretty much confirmed by the local journalists that Thiago will leave in the summer.

Asked by the ECHO for an update on Thiago's condition after the Europa League victory over Union Saint-Gilloise on October 5, Klopp said: "He had now two setbacks in the rehab, not massive but enough to take him off the pitch again. Obviously, not the same injury, not at all, but a bit similar.
