At the Huddersfield game - post West Brom I was complaining that Klopp -  a manager who brought Lewandowski, Gundagon, Hummells etc for next to nothing had not added to our squad. If that is our model then fine - but, where are the 'gems' as we haven't bought one since Coutinho. 

 

Then I remembered we paid £8m for Robbo! Less than Shaw, Alonso, Davies - and he is boss!

If we are going fro some from that kind of level, I'd prefer Robertson at Hull, he's looked ok in a shit team and still young.

 

Robertson's contract runs out next summer, although Hull have the option to extend it by 1 year, which I presume they will take. But if he doesn't sign a new contract, then he should still be relatively cheap with only a year left.

I´ve had a huge problem with his crossing this season. Seems he been working hard on those running crosses. Last night he was abslolutely excellent in everything he did. If he keeps that level up, then it's possibly only a backup solution needed. Moreno is not that option as as we all know he is dogshit. 

 

Phillips isn't ready to challenge yet, and that other dude won't get a work permit before he qualifies for a spanish passport probably. And who knows if they'll ever reach Liverpool level anyway.

 

Hope the lad keeps it up as we need a bit of Scotish grit.

I get this feeling too, he's got a great attitude about him, can't imagine him fucking us off for a warmer climate, and similarly I don't see him losing the hunger and turning shite now he's 'made it' like a few other players seem to do once they get the move here.

With the VvD signing and the emergence of Robbo / TAA & Gomez our defensive options are looking much better. A good CB in place of Ragnar and a good goalie for Mig & we have a strong, young defensive set up.
