Turns out austerity only went and caused brexit. Who’d have thunk it?

This paper presents novel and comprehensive evidence suggesting that austerity induced welfare reforms brought about by the Conservative-led coalition government from late 2010 onwards are key to understanding Brexit. Austerity-induced welfare reforms are a strong driving factor behind the growing support for the populist Ukip party in the wake of the EU referendum, contributed to the development of broader anti-establishment preferences and are strongly associated with popular support for Leave. The results suggest that the EU referendum either may not have taken place, or, as a back of the envelope calculations suggests, could have resulted in a victory for remain, had it not been for austerity.

It's always worth remembering how consistently the UK public were lied to about the EU for years before the Referendum.

Not true either. There’s a good fact check on this.

Any outside insulin is shit 80’s grade technology. The EU stuff is state of the art. Keeps more people alive.

The state of the art insulins are slow acting insulins like Lantus - which is a brand name of a insulin glargine recombinant that can be made anywhere in the world. Their patent expired in 2015 and there are generics in the UK market place already made by the likes of Lily and Boehringer. I don't know where you've got this 'revert back to 80's technology' thing from but it's patently not true.

The government use buffer stock protocols to make sure there isn't a shortage and there are contingency plans in place and flexibility within the supply chain to make sure it won't happen. Then again I wouldn't trust this government to take themselves across the road, so it's possible, but it'll be their own incompetence that's the cause, rather than Brexit itself.

If we have to buy stocks of insulin from the US the NHS will get bent over a fucking barrell. Its ridiculously expensive. The other stuff they have is shite you can buy in Walmart. Fucking around and any chances of shortsge of insulin is potentially a fucking death sentence to those that need it.

Fox really is a simpleton twat.

Given the massive cunt has zero interest in anything other than a clean break his statement just wreaks of hypocrisy.

Make impossible demands and blame the other side when they refuse. Does anyone really believe his shite ?

The other point to this is it challenges May who is clearly leading the negotiations,  Going to end in meltdown in the Autumn ,

Stolen from twitter.

In 8 months time, EU citizens will have one less country that they can freely move to for travel, work, study or retirement.

Whereas UK citizens will lose their right to do so in 27 countries, because 37% of the UK electorate believed a bunch lies from manipulative politicians.

The full details of Russia’s gold deal offer to Arron Banks ahead of the EU referendum are revealed in a leaked document which mentions exclusive “opportunities not available to others” and support from a Kremlin bank.

A seven-slide presentation, seen for the first time, shows how Banks – the main donor behind Leave.EU – was offered the chance of making potentially enormous profits in a deal featuring a Russian gold company.

The offer was made through Alexander Yakovenko, Russia’s ambassador in London

Suss as fuck this, time to put the brakes on.

It's a completely fucking bizarre scenario when the leader of the opposition is backing the leave vote when he supported the remain campaign but secretly wants to leave anyway.

And a Prime Minister who is backing the leave vote but secretly wants to stay after backing the remain campaign.

So you have one who really would like to leave and one who really would like to stay but both have to say the opposite for fear of electoral oblivion.

How did we end up here?
