Yesterday obviously meant a lot to Torres as he was walking round all day/evening with a big smile on his face- embracing a lot of people

...Even the current rentboys Terry and Drogba got a respectful reception for taking part. Obviously there would have been a bit of booing but most people put club rivalries aside for the afternoon.

 

The 'booing' that Terry got was mostly of the light-hearted pantomime variety. During one lot of booing, he stuck his thumb up to the Kop which earned him a cheer and round of applause. Nice touch I thought. Someone did try to start the 'John Terry's Ma...' song, but it never got going. Fair play to him though - he gave up his weekend off to go somewhere where he isn't exactly popular and helped raise money for charity, so for one day at least, he was okay. ish.

Chelsea fans are obsessed with Gerrard. I think a lot of its to do with him getting more recognition than Lampard over the years.
