Has anyone watched The Assassination Of Gianni Versace? I Liked the OJ series.

Apart from the murder and few bits and bobs the start of this series appeared all bright and beautiful, but the last two episodes I watched (the last one for me being the one about Lee Migland) have taken a very dark and sinister turn.

It's pretty good so far in my opinion.

The Funeral Murders.

Should be on iPlayer still. An hour long documentary looking at how the SAS foiled an IRA bombing plot in Gibraltar and how this ultimately had the knock on effect of leading to two of the most notorious terrorist attacks, both at funerals, in the history of the Northern Irish troubles - the Michael Stone Republican funeral killings and the horiffic and brutal murder of two British soldiers at another Republican funeral a few days later.

Very good.

Very good.

Watched this last night and found it very interesting. Quite eye opening too as that was all before my time and I didn’t/don’t know a great deal about the troubles.

I've watched it on BBC - ie, the first few episodes. It's really good IMO.

Very very different to the OJ series, although it retains the 'made for TV movie' feel.

The plot is weird as fuck - because Cunanan was as weird as fuck - and it's really disconcerting, but the performance by Darren Criss is superb. Deliberately OTT and amp, but very compelling.

Penelope Cruz's Italian accent is shit though - just sounds Spanish.

I have watched the first two and it's been decent so far.

Just binged through “one of us” on Netflix, though it’s a bbc programme so I’m guessing it was on proper telly quite recently. Set in the Scottish highlands. Very good.

All wraps up a little too neatly with no loose ends but it was very well done, overall.

Worth a watch.

I’d put it in the Line of Duty and The Fall territory.

This Morning with Richard not Judy

I’ve starting listening to the Richard Herring podcast (props to whoever recommended it on the podcast thread, it’s fucking ace) and so decided last night to watch Lee and herring videos on YouTube, including one which had 3 episodes of the above lumped together in one video.

Outstanding. Truly outstanding.

Who is the bad guy here....or is it the business man in his suit and tie?
